Who’d have thought that the thriller of the year would land in the 2nd week of January? Good Me Bad Me is out tomorrow people and if you love a grim psychological thriller then you are in luck!
Milly told the police her mother was a serial killer, taking small children to the Playground in their house. People rescued her, gave her foster parents, took away her old name, “Annie”. Milly now has to face her mother in court, as the key and only witness to her mother’s nine murders. Told on stream of consciousness, we follow Milly through her new school life and her family, all while she battles the darkness within her.
I’m not exaggerating when I say this is an exceptionally grim novel that deals with dark, important themes. There’s a particular scene midway through that made me squeal out loud. I’m only starting to realise that I do actually enjoy a few thrillers and this is one right at the top for me. Listen to the hype and go get it now!
